About the Author

Hey there, friends! Thanks for stopping by my website, I appreciate it. Here’s a few things about me:

Although my birth certificate claims I’m from Yuma, Arizona, my heart belongs in California. The moment the authorities were convinced I could safely operate a motor vehicle, I drove three hours straight to San Diego and fell madly in love with this gorgeous city. I believe it to be a great honor to live here.

My mother taught me to read before I attended Kindergarten. My grandmother got me hopelessly hooked on Science Fiction. I proudly read to them my short stories at the tender age of ten. I graduated as Valedictorian from High School and won the grand prize for the poetry contest. I also came in fourth place for Public Speaking at the Academic Decathlon state competition.

Then life happened. I spent the next twenty years doing something my younger self could never have predicted. I managed restaurants. Although I “fell” into this line of work and stayed there much longer than planned, I learned important things about myself. I love teaching. I love storytelling. I love leading. I love learning. I poured all those passions into my work. And honed my skills for communicating, motivating and teaching others to work together and improve their emotional health.

When I switched gears to focus on my vision, others didn’t understand why. But I did. For twenty years, I would always find the time to write. Craft stories, flush out creative ideas, and fall in love with the characters I created. Along the way I won an honorable mention from the Writers of the Future Contest. So now I pour all my experience into crafting sci-fi middle grade books to teach children emotional health through storytelling. I’m passionate about my calling. I’m on a mission to help children and their parents communicate and improve their emotional health. My desire is to shape the world into a better place, one story at a time.
